Ingredients

  • 1 lb. White fish like cod, tilapia (see text)
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 large Egg
  • ½ cup Bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp. Fresh Parsley finely chopped
  • 1 tsp. Fresh Dill finely chopped
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • ½ tsp. Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp. Oil

Instructions

  • Begin by cleaning the fish and removing any bones. Cut the fish into small chunks and place it in a food processor. Pulse until the fish is finely ground.
    1 lb. White fish
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground fish, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, parsley, dill, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything together until it forms a uniform mixture.
1 medium Onion, 2 cloves Garlic, 1 large Egg, ½ cup Bread crumbs, 2 tbsp. Fresh Parsley, 1 tsp. Fresh Dill, 1 tsp. Salt, ½ tsp. Black pepper
  • Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into a small patty. The patties should be about 2-3 inches in diameter.
  • Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the fish patties to the pan. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown and cooked through.
    2 tbsp. Oil
  • Once the fischfrikadellen are cooked, remove them from the pan and serve immediately. You can serve them with a side salad, mashed potatoes, or your favorite dipping sauce.
